A gown for a wedding she'd really didn't have, from a film we can't see

Carole Lombard was closer to 16 than 17 when she modeled this wedding gown on the Fox Studios lot for the 1925 film "Marriage In Transit." Here's the pic in full:

Lombard wore the gown during the film, as another still shows:

She later disparaged the movie -- or at least her performance in it -- and we don't have the ability to dispute her. It's been lost for more than 80 years after it was among many Fox titles whose negative originals were destroyed by fire. (Hope springs eternal a copy will be found somewhere.) Here's the back of the pic:

The 11" x 14" photo, now 94 years old, is up for auction at eBay. It's deemed in fine condition. Bids begin at $200, with the auction closing at 10:42 p.m. (Eastern) Wednesday.
