Modern prints, classic poses

How could one not adore this image of Carole Lombard on the ranch she owned about 1937, posing in pajamas with one of her cattle? If it was an original, vintage photo from a classic Hollywood collector or a fan magazine's files, it might go for three figures (plus $100).

But the good news for you -- unless you restrict your collecting to vintage stuff -- is that it isn't. And thus there's a decent chance you can get this, or two other Lombard images, for under $10 each.

According to the collector, it's a modern print measuring 8" x 10" "with ample white borders for easy framing...This stunning photo would look absolutely great when framed and hung in your office, den or bar. These prints make quite a conversation piece and are often a center of attention."

That comment also applies to two other photos of Carole -- this classy portrait from 1939...

...or this sultry shot from the mid-thirties:

All have starting bids of $4.45 each; all three auctions end at 4:40 p.m. (Eastern) next Tuesday.

Best wishes to those who bid.
