Three vintage original Carole Lombard photos -- all featuring snipes or other information on the back -- currently are on sale at eBay. We'll start with literally the biggest of the three, this measures "approximately 12.75" x 13.5". Trimmed down from 16" x 20" is this rare single-weight glossy portrait of Lombard from the film 'The Princess Comes Across.' The photograph has a studio snipe glued to the back plus marker crossing out something but does not bleed through." And here is that snipe:

The seller adds, "My flash has caused a glare on her shoulder. The photo has a minor wrinkle top left in the background. Overall it is in good condition."
You can buy it for $149.99 or $25 a month for six months (there's only a penny's difference), or you can make an offer. Next up, Carole -- recently divorced from William Powell -- poolside at her Beverly Hills home in late 1933 through the lens of Otto Dyar. Proof he took it is on the back:

Also a single-weight but a mere 8" x 10", this is considered to be in mint condition, and has the same "buy-or-make-offer" option -- although here it goes for $124.99 or $21 monthly for six months. Finally, a photo of Lombard with new husband Clark Gable, taken at her house on March 30, 1939, the day after they were wed:

What's of special interest to this one is that it was issued by MGM, which naturally stressed Gable's side of things (just as RKO did likewise for its newly-signed Lombard on its photos of the event):

One wonders whether the ill-fated Otto Winkler, who accompanied the couple to Kingman, Ariz., for the wedding, wrote the snipe.
Unlike the other two pics, this one is double-weight, and semi-gloss to boot; it's an 8" x 10" in mint condition selling for $149.99 ($25 a month for six months), or you can make an offer.
