Carole Lombard a Hall of Famer? In her own way, sure. But there's one Hall of Fame that Carole has yet to be enshrined in, even though she's certainly a qualified candidate.
We're referring to the Celebrity Legs Hall of Fame, which at last count has 386 members, from virtually all areas of the entertainment industry...but not Carole Lombard. Most of those enshrined are from racent decades, but a few of Carole's contemporaries from classic Hollywood have been tabbed for the honor, including Claudette Colbert, Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, Ginger Rogers and Barbara Stanwyck. With the centennial of Lombard's birth coming up, it's time she joined the party.
The criteria for enshrinement is simple: "For women who became famous before 1970, 10 votes are needed for election to the Hall of Fame." So all Carole needs for enshrinement is for a few members of this community to cast a vote for her. How do you do it?
Well, first of all, visit the site, "The Celebrity Legs Gallery," at http://www.aeolia.net/legs/legsgal.htm. Go to the Hall of Fame link, and at the bottom you'll find a link where you can cast your vote. (It's an e-mail address, but out of simple fairness, I want you to visit the site first before voting.)
Oh, and if you needed any reminding why Carole Lombard deserves to be in the Celebrity Legs Hall of Fame...
