
Carole Lombard's luminosity had made her a fan magazine cover favorite on both sides of the Atlantic for a number of years, but by 1936 it was apparent to all there was talent to complement the looks. So not only did she grace the front of the Oct. 17 issue of the Dutch magazine Cinema & Theater...

...but she was the subject of a brief inside feature as well. (From a cursory look at the copy and my minimal knowledge of Dutch, I'm guessing her latest film there was "The Princess Comes Across," although its translated title features the word "Hollywood"; remember, Lombard's faux princess Olga was heading to Hollywood for movie fame. "My Man Godfrey," released in the U.S. in September, had yet to hit the Continent.)
