Lombard's still in Fort Wayne (the play, that is)

carole lombard 00a

If you missed "Lombard," the one-woman play about Carole Lombard, when it was performed in her hometown of Fort Wayne, Ind., last week, good news. You still have a few chances to see it.

"Lombard" runs at 7:30 tonight, 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Civic Theatre, 303 East Main Street. For more information or to buy tickets, visit http://fwcivic.org/Pg201213_Show_Lombard.html. (A warning: There is strong adult language, but anyone aware of Carole's colorful vocabulary shouldn't be surprised.)

Here's Jessica Butler, that "one-woman," in Lombard costume:

And here she is off-stage with the play's author, Michael Druxman:

While in Fort Wayne, Druxman took a side trip to Lombard's birthplace on Rockhill Street, and even visited the room Jane Alice Peters occupied as a child:

Oh, and to buy a copy of the play, go to http://www.amazon.com/Lombard-Michael-B-Druxman/dp/1461060869/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1303221554&sr=1-1.
