
Above is Paramount p1202-1475, a not-infrequently seen photo of Carole Lombard (it was used as the cover for the book "The Films Of Carole Lombard"). And this particular pic is an original, used for publicity -- but not for Paramount. Here's what we're talking about:

CBS appropriated this picture from Paramount to help promote her appearance on its radio series, "Hollywood Hotel," where she and Fred MacMurray were to do scenes from their new film "True Confession." (This is from November 1937.) A few episodes of "Hollywood Hotel" have been preserved, but apparently this wasn't one of them.
