Picture Carole with a future star

They worked on the radio, in a 1938 "Lux Radio Theater" adaptation of "My Man Godfrey." She was mentioned several times in one of his two autobiographies. And now, we have visual proof of Carole Lombard and David Niven together:



I had no idea a photograph of the two existed, but Tally Haugen found one in her big box of Lombard memorabilia and sent a copy my way. (Thanks, Tally!) It was part of a magazine page montage of images of Carole, directly below this portrait:
