Just wanted to say. . .

Hello all,

I've been lurking on this journal for over a week now, and I must say, this is undoubtedly the greatest place of resource I've ever come across on Carole Lombard. I've learned so many things about Carole (and others) within a week than I have anywhere else. It is such a wonderful community and the members here, in particular vp19, seems to be completely brimmed with information on nearly every part of Lombard's life and personality. So kudos to you, and keep up the fantastic job.

Well, anyway, I come baring gifts. I don't know how many of you guys came across this when it was on Ebay a few months ago, but there were several candid images of Clark Gable and Carole Lombard out in the valley (their farm perhaps?) which I would like to share with you all. If this has been mentioned or posted before, I apologize. Here they are with blow-ups as it was on the auction page:

  
  
  
  
    

I can't remember what the Ebay seller said about these photos, if anything. There might not be much to go on either, but if anybody has any ideas or any comments to make, please feel free to do so. 

In my opinion, you really can't get more "in-the-bushes" with these pictures. They were snapshots taken by obviously a close friend and shows what these two stars might have been doing together on an average day when not working at the studio. The last set are my favorites. I know it's hard to tell, but it looks like Carole is wearing little to no makeup. : )
