A Lombardic spin on a popular meme

Early last year, we created this Carole Lombard image promoting her as a positive alternative to the Kardashian family, a clan many feel have been overexposed for no significant reason. It became a somewhat popular meme, as several hundred copied the image and distributed it across the Internet.

Now, it's time for Lombard meme 2019, this one our take on an image nearly everyone has seen by now since it went viral in early May:

How does it work? The lady makes a statement and the cat responds, usually with a snarky retort. Some examples, among many you can find in cyberspace:

Who are these characters? The woman on the left is Taylor Armstrong, of the reality series "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills." The picture actually dates back to a 2011 episode, when Armstrong was discussing abuse she had received from her late ex-husband. That prompted an argument between her and castmate Camille Grammer, leading to this image. (As for the feline, it's a white cat named Smudge Lord, a la a fat man named Tiny.)

Given that background info, I'd be a bit reluctant to use it in a meme...but when an online friend asked her about in late October, Armstrong was fine with it, for good reason: "That is my past and I have moved on and am in a really healthy, happy marriage. It doesn't seem like my life any longer," she wrote on Twitter. "I work w(ith) domestic violence shelters and support victims. It's OK to laugh at the images that have been created."

That out of the way, let's employ the lady and the feline for a Lombard-themed meme.

Woman -- ‘Bringing Up Baby’ is the greatest screwball!
Cat -- Never seen ‘My Man Godfrey,’ have you?

All we ask is that they be in good taste, preferably with some wit, and of course relate to Lombard. We'll take suggestions through Sunday, Dec. 15. I'll create the winning meme next week. This is going to be fun.
