Hangin' with Mr. Cooper (and Mr. Foster, too)

Today, we examine two publicity photos from Carole Lombard movies -- one among her least seen, despite having a fellow legend as co-star, the other a relatively obscure comedy. First, here's Carole from 1931's "I Take This Woman," nestled in the arms of Gary Cooper:

The photo, from Germany, measures 8" x 9.5" and is in fine condition; the seller describes it as having "some pinholes in all four corners and is trimmed of about 0.3 inch. on top border." Bidding begins at $24.80, with bids closing at 4:28 p.m. (Eastern) Thursday. If you'd like to place a bid or learn more information, visit

Now, fast forward five years to Lombard at Universal in, not for that film, but the other one..."Love Before Breakfast." This is Carole with Preston Foster:

The photo measures 10" x 8". It is in very good condition with some creasing. The minimum bid is $9.99, and bids close at 12:46 a.m. (Eastern) on Friday. You can find out more at
