Hangin' with Mr. Cooper (and Mr. Foster, too)

Today, we examine two publicity photos from Carole Lombard movies -- one among her least seen, despite having a fellow legend as co-star, the other a relatively obscure comedy. First, here's Carole from 1931's "I Take This Woman," nestled in the arms of Gary Cooper:

The photo, from Germany, measures 8" x 9.5" and is in fine condition; the seller describes it as having "some pinholes in all four corners and is trimmed of about 0.3 inch. on top border." Bidding begins at $24.80, with bids closing at 4:28 p.m. (Eastern) Thursday. Now, fast forward five years to Lombard at Universal in 1936...no, not for that film, but the other one..."Love Before Breakfast." This is Carole with Preston Foster:

The photo measures 10" x 8". It is in very good condition with some creasing. The minimum bid is $9.99, and bids close at 12:46 a.m. (Eastern) on Friday.
