TCM makes "Fools" of its fans

Since tomorrow is April 1, a.k.a. April Fool's Day, guess what Carole Lombard film Turner Classic Movies in the U.S. is showing?



That's right -- "Fools For Scandal," at 10:30 a.m. (ET). It's part of a day of films with the word "fool" in the title, although several, such as the 1931 "Dance, Fools, Dance," with Clark Gable and Joan Crawford, aren't comedies.

As stated previously (http://community.livejournal.com/carole_and_co/#87905), "Fools For Scandal," Lombard's lone film at Warners, is not one of her prouder screen efforts; in fact, it misfired so badly that Carole decided to pursue dramatic roles for a year or two. Nevertheless, every Lombard fan should see it once.

Fortunately, at 10 a.m. ET the following day (April 2) TCM is showing a far better Lombard film:
