Late to the party

Not long ago, we ran some photos of a party that Carole Lombard threw for the film community in June 1935 at the Ocean Park amusement park in Venice, Calif. (http://community.livejournal.com/carole_and_co/#80257).

Since then, I've come across another picture from that magical night, and thought you'd like to see it:

From left are Randolph Scott (Carole's co-star in the 1933 film "Supernatural"), Lombard (get a load of her socks!), A.C. Blumenthal (a producer at Paramount), Regis Toomey (a popular leading man of the 1930s), Toby Wing (arguably the most famous chorus girl who never quite rose above that status -- she even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame) and Cary Grant.

From the smiles, it appears a good time was had by all.
