
The look of love? Yeah, I think so. Carole Lombard and Clark Gable gaze at each other as if there were no other people in the world (OK, Carole's doing most of the gazing)...and if Lombard was in love with me, I'd return that gaze, too.
That's a Clark and Carole image I'm pretty certain I've never seen before. I sense that also applies to this one, where the Gables, now married, show that gaze works just as well outdoors, with an open car door between them:

Many of you may remember the Burt Bacharach and Hal David song "The Look Of Love" from the 1967 James Bond film "Casino Royale" (the spoof, not the later version). But how many recall a song with nearly the same title -- "Look Of Love," no "The" -- that was a medium-sized hit for Lesley Gore a few years earlier? I remember it, so here it is. (Two versions of the song were actually released, but here's the one I like better.)
