Now, more about it, from a new Facebook friend: His fgrandfather worked at RKO for many years, and one of the luminaries he knew there was Lombard. Great-grandpa recalled her fondly, saying she used to play cards with the crew on the set.
As for "Mary Francis," that was the man's daughter, my friend's grandmother.
