Acting 'Fast And Loose' with a linen-backed rarity

I've analyzed Carole Lombard still images for decades, and can safely say I've never come across the one above before. The seller of this eBay item claims it's from her Paramount film "Fast And Loose" (the only movie Lombard ever made in New York, at what then was the studio's East Coast building in Astoria, Queens. It shows her on the telephone, vintage 1930 technology. And don't you love that smile?

Note the number "1285" in the lower left-hand corner; that's the studio ID number for "Fast And Loose," a coding device for movies just as p1202 was for Carole the Paramount player. We have other, more common stills from the production, such as...

As you can see, both have the "1285" prefix, too. Here's what else we know about the photo:

* It's in very good, "almost excellent" condition.
* It measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4".
* It's linen-backed.

This pic is up for auction, with bids opening at $9.99. But since the auction doesn't close until 7:11 p.m. (Eastern) Oct. 6 -- yep, Lombard's birthday -- I would be surprised if this relative rarity doesn't go for triple digits.
