Or at least that's how 'baseballguy1' describes these Carole Lombard photos, and who are we to argue?

The above outfit is from the fall of 1934...we know that because there's a snipe on the back:

The next two are from Lombard's first all-talkie, the 1929 Pathe drama "High Voltage." Here she is, alluring as can be:

There's a studio stamp for the film on the back, as well:

The following "High Voltage" still is relatively common...

...but it's also marked on the back. Was it actually typed on July 28. 1929? If so, it almost certainly wasn't done by Pathe people, since here Lombard's first name includes an "e."

Bidding for the 1934 pic begins at $9.99, with bidding slated to end at 8:21 p.m. (Eastern) Wednesday. More information is available at http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAROLE-LOMBARD-VINTAGE-SEXY-1934-RARE-PARAMOUNT-GLAMOUR-TRAVIS-BANTON-/181063968475?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a2840e6db.

The solo Lombard "High Voltage" portrait has a somewhat higher opening bid price ($39.99); bids will close at 8:15 p.m. (Eastern) Wednesday. Find out all the details at http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAROLE-LOMBARD-VINTAGE-SEXY-1929-GLAMOUR-HIGH-VOLTAGE-PATHE-STUNNING-/181063903251?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a283fe813.

And the "High Voltage" group shot? Its initial bid price is also $39.99, though here you'll have an extra minute to place a bid. Interested? Several other Lombard pics are among the 40+ items currently available from baseballguy1. See them all at http://www.ebay.com/sch/baseballguy1/m.html?item=181063909200&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a283fff50&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562.

The LiveJournal header, Lombard in profile, is p1202-15 from late 1930.

VKMfanHuey here...

...dang it, after all this time, I thought I was a faithful follower of C&C... but just noticed it's not within the 'Gingery Blogs' area of G-ology...well, I've rectified that... I guess the wordpress / blogspot deal is a bit much for me to grasp... well, hopefully I can get more 'with it' on all of these...

Keep up the greatness, VP!!!

KIG - AND Carole-y!!!
