For those of you who follow us through LiveJournal, you're familiar with our traditional Monday avatar of Carole Lombard. If you enjoy seeing it small, look below and see it big:
This is p1202-1049, taken in early 1935. I'm not sure which Paramount photographer took this, but whomever it was did a splendid job working with Carole, as she's enveloped in a glow that almost makes her appear otherworldly.
It's an 8" x 10" original, in very good condition; a tiny part of the image above her right shoulder is missing, and there's a slight tear at the right edge of the photo, but that Lombard face is in exquisite shape.
You can bid for this photo at eBay, and two bids have been made so far, topping out at $12.51 (the seller is from Queensland, Australia). Bidding closes at 11:37 a.m. (Eastern) June 27. This week's LiveJournal header shows a 1928 "Carole of the curves" auditioning before Eddie Quillan in the Pathe part-talkie "Show Folks."
